We have published this blog for victims who are hearing a constant noise inside as well as outside.  I am coining the term, “SMART GRID SYNDROME” WHEN REFERRING TO THE SYMPTOMS WE ARE EXPERIENCING.  WE ARE ALL EXPOSED  TO THE EMR NOISE AND RADIATION, RESULTING IN THE EMISSIONS OF THE GLOBAL SMART GRID NETWORK.  After visiting forums and  reading several blogs related to this particular noise(s), we found that people, in general, are seeking answers as to what is happening to them and are desperate for the truth.   One blog was consistent with the descriptors of what we have been describing to the State of Massachusetts.  We have confirmed it is a microwave pulsation accompanied by   “pure tones”,  illegal in our State of  Massachusetts. The Regulations were adopted from the EPA  who studied pure tone noise and in 1972 determined it to be a noxious air pollutant, thus being a human health hazard.  Whether proven to be a pure tone or not; it is a nuisance and it is trespassing on and in to your home and the source is the utilities who are leaking carcinogenic microwave frequencies they are injecting through power lines for the Smart Grid communication layer of the global network.  The power lines were designed to transmit electricity.  They are using broadband, Dsl, Wi-Fi, wired, unwired, Sat, cell; whatever they choose to use because they have many options on how to operate the Smart Grid Network.  The noise is a by-product of the Radio Frequency interference, radiation and dirty power riding on the wires and radiating through every outlet in to your home, school and workplace.  The constant pounding of these modulated pulsed signals is biologically invasive to all who are exposed to it and produce serious negative symptoms. Thousands of Medical studies prove this a Public Health Hazard.

DEFINITION OF NOISE   “Noise is an unwanted or objectionable sound”   VERY IMPORTANT!!  When trying to explain this NOISE be aware that the ignorant, be them experts, professionals or not, the noise is incorrectly defined  if it is described as just a sound.  IT IS AN UNWANTED OR OBJECTIONABLE SOUND.  MUSIC IS SOUND, EVERYTHING THAT YOU CAN HEAR IS A SOUND.  THIS is a noise from hell, manmade, radio frequency signals that are leaking into our air causing them to bounce, reflect, enabling them to be heard in  the human hearing range.  These are illegal pure tones (pure tones are extremely rare and not normally found in our environment) and damage  hearing with prolonged exposure.  This is an unprecedented event that has never occurred  for, historically, mankind has never before lived with wireless/bio active microwaves leaking in the air.  How could anyone even fathom such a disaster and that we would be expected to live and be perpetually exposed to this hazardous pollution in our daily lives, 24 hours, day and night, against our will, without permission, with no way to escape it?  The dismissal  of our pleas for help and evidence by our local, State and Federal Governments,  the lack of empathy and desire to do anything about it,  even by victims who are aware and suffering from this technology, is unconscionable.  Without  personal responsibility there will be no resolution or  accountability of the crimes being perpetrated on our Society.  Sickness and death is inevitably the result of doing nothing.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR HEARERS TO UNDERSTAND.  IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO ALL OTHERS WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE OF WHAT WE ARE HEARING AND TINNITUS.  TINNITUS IS DEFINED AS SUCH: Tinnitus is an auditory sensation characterized by the perception of sound or noise in the absence of any external sound source. Based on neurobiological research, it is generally accepted that most forms of tinnitus are attributable to maladaptive plasticity due to damage to auditory system. Changes have been observed in auditory structures such as the inferior colliculus, the thalamus and the auditory cortex as well as in non-auditory brain areas. However, the observed changes show great variability, hence lacking a conclusive picture. One of the reasons might be the selection of inhomogeneous groups in data analysis.  (EXCERPT FROM: The Differences in Brain Activity between Narrow Band Noise and Pure Tone Tinnitus Published: October 27, 2010  DOI: 10.1371/journal.pone.0013618)

PLEASE, Research:  The Lilly Wave called a balanced bidirectional pulse pair invented by John Cunningham Lilly is a carrier waveform that bypasses the mind’s subconscious defense systems. It has been monitored via oscilloscopes connected to homes A/C ground and neutral of power lines. It can be used to transmit mind control via ultrasonic (1 – 10MHz) and electromagnetic wavelengths (600m to 1e-15m).
•Electromagnetic wavelengths transmit long/short/FM wavelength radio waves, and TV/telephone/wireless signals or energies. They are also responsible for transmitting energy in the form of microwaves, infrared radiation (IR), visible light (VIS), ultraviolet light (UV), X-rays, and gamma rays (1996)
• The Lilly wave can be neutralized via pink or white noise generators connecting to the non-voltage A/C ground and neutral of the homes power grid.

The goal was to find an electric current waveform with which animals could be stimulated through implanted electrodes for several hours per day for several months without causing irreversible changes in threshold by the passage of current through the tissue.
Many waveforms, including 60-cps. sine-wave current could apparently be used safely for these limited schedules of stimulation. They could not be used for the intensive, long-term schedule of chronic stimulation. Electric current passed through the brain can cause at least two distinct types of injury: thermal and electrolytic.
The technical problem in chronic brain stimulation is to stay above the excitatory threshold and below the injury threshold in the neuronal system under consideration. This result can be achieved most easily by the proper choice of waveforms and their time courses; and less easily by the choice of the range of repetition frequencies and train durations.
The previous wave forms used in neurophysiology and in neurosurgery injured the neurons when unidirectional current passed through the brain. Dr. Lilly developed a new electrical wave form to balance the current, first in one direction and then, after a brief interval, in the other. Thus ions moving in the neurons would first be pushed one way and then quickly the other way, stimulating the neurons and leaving the ions in their former positions within the neurons. This new wave form was called a balanced bidirectional pulse pair, or the Lilly Wave. Microscopic studies of brains stimulated with this balanced pulse pair showed that there was no injury of the neuronai networks from this kind Waveform of stimulating current: pulse pairs of current resulting from quasi-differentiation, with passive electrical elements, of a rectangular pulse. Measured at 2 percent of the peak, the duration of the positive pulse (upward) is 34 µsec, and the duration of the negative pulse (downward) is 28 µsec. stimulation.

Cause of the Hum Broadcasting on Power lines (Forensic evidence below and in the forensic fingerprint at top of page)

Proof of Hum on Power lines and the Source of World Wide Public Health Hazard

Proof of Hum on Power lines and the Source of World Wide Public Health Hazard

Our research/investigation has been ongoing since 2006 when the Utilities turned on the Global Smart Grid Network in our town.  The reason for the investigation is due to the Constant noise being heard in our home and around our town.  We have conclusive forensic evidence that ponts to the 902-928MHz unlicensed frequency band being used across the country and Canada to operating the mesh communication layer of the Global Smart Grid Network.  The ARRL in the U.S. and Canada have filed numerous complaints siting the utilities are violating the FCC part 15 rules.  This links our evidence of the 217Hz, which is the audible illegal pure tone measured as per the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.  Our evidence proves a constant tone in our environment, man-made, not allowed in our air as per the EPA  Clean Air Act, which were adopted by Massachusetts in 1990.  The 217Hz is a demodulated pulsed frequency transmitting in concert with 902-928MHz spectrum for communication with the Smart meters.  Our 1/3 octave measurements taken as per MAdep protocol was confirmed by an acoustic engineer revealing the 217Hz is an illegal pure tone, (pulsing also occurs at 8.34Hz)it is in exceedence of the MA Noise pollution Laws. The expert stated the frequency is within human hearing range and would cause a disturbance, especially at night.   We also have the affidavit of A certified Forensic Audio engineer who also confirmed the constant noise is the 217Hz, a modulating pulse.  The measurements taken at our home, 5 miles away from our home and during a major power outage were all identical fingerprints. This is the evidence the Massachusetts Regulatory agencies have in their possession and have blatantly ignored and dismissed by closing the investigation for the 3rd time!  The MA Department of Environmental Protection would not hire their own expert to do overnight pure tone measurements.  They would not include the FCC in the investigation.  They deferred to the utilities to do the overnight pure tone studies.  The utility, National Grid, botched the overnight testing, both, in our home and outside where they placed the meters.  The MA Department of Environment Protection, Department of Public Health and the Department of Public Utilities did not come back to do the overnight pure tone testing as per their testing design.  Instead, they closed our case with no reasonable explanation.

National Grid, USA and other utilities across the country “turned on” in 2006- the 2 way communication fixed and wired AMI network.  Nationl Grid uses the Landis GYR TS-2 AMI technology.  THIS IS WHEN THE CONSTANT NOISE STARTED RADIATING IN OUR AIR;  Carried by the interconnected power grid; turning the wires into one big continuous antenna and electromagnetic weapon!!!  This must be stopped.  Time for our engineers, professionals, experts to pay attention to the biggest death weapon directed at the entire population while assaulting us with NOISE, DIRTY ELECTRICITY 24/7.

Latest research in Germany points to mobile communication radio waves (base station antennas) as source of the hum. The hum is not caused by the cell phones themselves but by the emissions of the base stations (antennas) transported over the air interface.
The low frequent pulsing and modulations of the signals lead to acoustic resonance in buildings. http://archive.is/vSMuu

Bees are frequency-sensitive, like all living organisms: TIMELINE OF THE BEES, BATS BIRDS DEMISE IS LATE 2006=EARLY 2007.  THE TIME LINE IS EXACTLY THE TIME NATIONAL GRID TURNED ON THEIR PERSONAL WIRELESS MESH NETWORK LAYER FOR THE SMART GRID IN OUR TOWN ON MT WILCOX.  LATE FULL/EARLY WINTER THE NOISE BEGAN AND THE NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS AS WELL DUE TO THE PULSED SIGNAL FROM THE BASE STATION TRANSMITTING THE 217Hz. There was and is no other cell tower within 5 miles of our home, so this explains why our cell phone works if you face it toward the north in the direction of Mt. Wilcox.  The Antenna, data collector, tower, what ever they choose to call it is filed under the FCC as Personal Mobile.  There is nothing personal about it.  The end user is not the public. It is for corporate use.  Why aren’t these antennas under investigation by the FCC.  They are in violation of the FCC Part 15.   National Grid and all utilities using this wireless protocol is in violation of the clean air act.  They are radiating EMR noise pollution that is harming all living things.

Read an excerpt below: There may indeed be more than one ‘hum’, but since bees are so sensitive to particular frequencies, this is a worthwhile route for research, especially if hives resonate in response to the now all-pervasive EM fields. This is why the HUM we are describing in not related to The Historic HUM Mystery. As stated many times in research studies Hum typically occurs in regional clusters, and rarely within large metropolitan areas. Here is the link to read the full report. http://arizonaskywatch.com/?topic=haarp-and-birds-and-bees-04152007 The Modern Day Hum we have time lined since 2006 is being heard everywhere, not in pockets, clusters or regions. Our registry of people who are hearing the noise we describe are located all across the United States and World. Cities, rural, urban and the like all can hear the Noise we describe and it is a current timeline. The pockets or clusters of the hum, some explained and some still left a mystery could be related to electromagnetic inference and the emissions could have been radiating on the power lines as well, but the reason this is ubiquitous is because of the pulsed RF signals of the wireless devices being employed by the PLC mesh layer of the Global Automated metering infrastructure, which all or most of the population is exposed to.

Our Recordings identify both the hum and the drone:

It is interesting to reflect that many people complain of ‘the hum’, relating electromagnetic sources with an apparently acoustic phenomenon.  GSM mobile phone systems produce a structural pulse frequency of 217Hz; pulsing also occurs at 8.34Hz.  The 8.34Hz is the source of the droning drum-like very low frequency vibration.  I hear both simultaneously 24/7.  You may  hear one or the other or both.

Listen to this youtube recording of infrasound around 8Hz and this is the drone resonance:

The cadence is different, but the tone is about the right pitch.  This is what is accompanying the Buzz tone.

SMD Note: Smart meters utilize a 912 MHz frequency and emit pulsed rf radiation 24/7, with full body exposures at up to 160x that of cell phones (Hirsch, 2011). This is an example of thousands of studies that show this is dangerous to the public health.

P Esmekaya MA et al, (December 2010) Pulse modulated 900 MHz radiation induces hypothyroidism and apoptosis in thyroid cells: a light, electron microscopy and immunohistochemical study, Int J Radiat Biol. 2010 Dec;86(12):1106-16. Epub 2010 Sep 1

In the present study we investigated the possible histopathological effects of pulse modulated Radiofrequency (RF) fields on the thyroid gland using light microscopy, electron microscopy and immunohistochemical methods. Two months old male Wistar rats were exposed to a 900 MHz pulse-modulated RF radiation at a specific absorption rate (SAR) of 1.35 Watt/kg for 20 min/day for three weeks. The RF signals were pulse modulated by rectangular pulses with a repetition frequency of 217 Hz and a duty cycle of 1:8 (pulse width 0.576 ms). To assess thyroid endocrine disruption and estimate the degree of the pathology of the gland, we analysed structural alterations in follicular and colloidal diameters and areas, colloid content of the follicles, and height of the follicular epithelium. Apoptosis was confirmed by Transmission Electron Microscopy and assessing the activites of an initiator (caspase-9) and an effector (caspase-3) caspases that are important markers of cells undergoing apoptosis. Morphological analyses revealed hypothyrophy of the gland in the 900 MHz RF exposure group. The results indicated that thyroid hormone secretion was inhibited by the RF radiation. In addition, we also observed formation of apoptotic bodies and increased caspase-3 and caspase-9 activities in thyroid cells of the rats that were exposed to modulated RF fields. The overall findings indicated that whole body exposure to pulse-modulated RF radiation that is similar to that emitted by global system for mobile communications (GSM) mobile phones can cause pathological changes in the thyroid gland by altering the gland structure and enhancing caspase-dependent pathways of apoptosis.

Beyond ear perception, the radiation is also otherwise physically noticed by humans. Reasons that speak for mobile communication as source of the hum:
– correlations between peoples´ reports of first hearing the hum and the setup of antennas in their neighborhood, clearly demonstrable in small towns and villages; increase of the phenomenon parallels setup of antennas;
– physical complaints of hum sufferers are the same as the symptoms that are reported for radio wave sickness
– measurements show artificial signals in the ELF-range; qualitative signal analyses show characteristics of portable radio technology (pulsing, modulation)
– effects of radiation by mobile radio waves on human brain waves in the ELF-range have already been medically proven.

ELF frequencies in mobile communication technology as cause of the hum?

Many people are not aware of the fact that – besides RF frequencies – also low frequencies (ELF frequencies) play an important role in mobile communication technology. This is not only the case with regard to the cell phones (as has been focussed in most publications), but also with regard to the so-called “base stations”.
Low frequencies are used in two techniques: in signal pulsing and in wave modulation.  Our audio also points to an audible bass tone resonance also being heard by victims.

The descriptions that are consistently reaffirmed by victims across the country as well as the world are:

1. Constant noise  2. Humming  3.Buzzing  4. Oscillating pulse  5. Thudding, thumping, rumbling resonance 6. Sounds like a motor idling outside my house 7. can hear it during power outage  8. disturbs sleep  9. unnerving  10. checked all mechanical functions in the home  11. called the utilities; they did nothing 12. Can hear it outside  13. Can hear it sitting with the car turned off.  14. Started hearing it around 2006 to present  15. pressure in the ears and head  16. Not tinnitus 17. Have to sleep with a fan, music, tv to mask the noise; even though I have to listen to another noise than that insidious noise.  18. I can not relax listening to it.  19. Some people hear it some don’t  20. I am afraid to talk about it because people will think I am crazy  21. I have never had trouble sleeping before this noise started  22.  Some mention power lines, microwave  transmitters, cell towers, gas lines, water lines as a theory.  23.  Siren  24. high pitch frequency 25. CAN HEAR IT DURING A POWER OUTAGE.  26.  The noise is present 24 hours a day.

This is to name a few of the descriptors of hearing the Noise.  The Symptoms of the ill effects of being exposed to this noise and radiation pollution are as follows, but not limited to:

Headaches, heart palpitations , vertigo, insomnia, nose bleeds, muscle aches and involuntary muscle spasms, nervous tension, irritability, anger, feeling not in control of your environment, alienated and not understood, loss of concentration, tired, feeling your body is buzzing, hissing and ringing in the ears from the very high radio frequencies in the Microwave spectrum; radiating in the air and on riding on the power-lines through every outlet of public and private buildings.

Low frequency noise annoyance and stress  (from Noise and Health 2004 Volume 6 Issue 23 Page: 59-72 HG Leventhall

Stresses may be grouped into three broad types: cataclysmic stress, personal stress and background stress. Cataclysmic stress includes widespread and devastating physical events. Personal stress includes bereavements and other personal tragedies. Cataclysmic and personal stresses are evident occurrences, which are met with sympathy and support, whilst their impacts normally reduce with time. Background stresses are persistent events, which may become routine elements of our life. Constant low-frequency noise has been classified as a background stressor (Benton, 1997; Benton and Leventhall, 1994). Whilst it is acceptable, under the effects of cataclysmic and personal stress, to withdraw from coping with normal daily demands, this is not permitted for low level background stresses. Inadequate reserves of coping ability then leads to the development of stress symptoms. In this way, chronic psychophysiological damage may result from long-term exposure to low-level low-frequency noise.

Changes in behavior also follow from long term exposure to low-frequency noise. Those exposed may adopt protective strategies, such as sleeping in their garage if the noise is less disturbing there. Or they may sleep elsewhere,  returning to their own homes only during the day.  Victims over time, may undergo character changes, particularly in relation to social orientation, consistent with their failure to recruit support and agreement from the regulatory authority that they do have a genuine noise problem. Their families, and the investigating officer, may also become part of their problem. The claim that their “lives have been ruined” by the noise is not an exaggeration, although their reaction to the noise might have been modifiable at an earlier stage.

1.2.12.4 Sleep-related fatigue and road accidents  page 34

We have forensic audio evidence proving this is in our environment and ubiquitous throughout our community 24 hours a day. We have identified the noise in several other towns and cities where we have lived and traveled.  We live in a community that does not have cell towers, public sewer, gas lines, industry, major highways.  The only thing we have is Broadband high-speed internet and Wi-Fi and wireless smart meters.  We did not hear this noise until this was rolled out in our town and same follows in the other places we hear the noise.  In our town National Grid is our electric provider.   In 2006 National Grid installed a wireless digital meter on our home without our knowledge or consent.  In order to manage their wireless network it has to be secure so they acquired approval for a secure personal wireless service (a secure server),  in order to communicate and transfer personal information to their central office.  The wireless network within the electric grid is responsible for the constant noise.  The noise began when they connected the wireless smart meter communication mesh layer in our area.  The wireless network is transmitting on the grid even during major outages. This is why it is heard everywhere and ubiquitous in our environment.  This is the Modern day Hum people are wondering about.   It is not a car idling, an air conditioner rattling, highway traffic, industry. We recorded a fingerprint of a pulsed radio frequency, not a power 60Hz sine wave.  It is narrowband, not broadband, it is man made, not something that is natural. To better understand the various ways the modernization or automation of the smart grid is being implemented read:  A Survey of Wireless Communications for the Electric Power System by  BA Akyol H Kirkham, SL Clements,  MD Hadley    January 2010

We have a fingerprint of this noise as a result of retaining a Forensic Audio engineer.  He has confirmed by analyzing recordings of several locations in our town, as well as a recording during a power outage.  The results are identical audio fingerprint.  1/3 octave band testing confirmed a constant noise, the 217Hz, in the 250Hz narrowband, it is a modulating pulse bursting every second with 1/8 second micro bursts.  This is proven science and it has been duplicated and confirmed repeatedly.  The audio recordings have been documented for the past three years, preserved in data form onto CDs.  This evidence, along with our 1/3 octave band results showing illegal pure tones/noise,  power quality results showing dirty electricity/noise, forensic audio results confirming constant noise, witnesses and other residents in our town who have filed noise complaints with the State.  Yet, we are approaching 7 years of willful negligence by  the State and Utilities in not acknowledging their culpability and intentions to clean up the harmful pollution impacting our heath and well-being.   Thousands of health studies prove this is  a public health  hazard; both the acoustic assault and the non-thermal radiation exposure will have a long term health effects.  We are being used for a human experiment.   The long term exposure to the pure tone of the 217Hz can damage the cohlear in the middle ear.  This is why the EPA set pure tone exposure limits for workplaces.  These limits were for 8 hour work shifts.  We are exposed to the 217Hz pure tone 24 hours a day, non stop, every day!!!  Please help us to expose the truth about this deadly technology.  The Smart Grid is not an intelligent technology. It is a ruthless, greedy, sinister, desperate plan, with no regard for human life.  The Radio frequency spread spectrum of the 902MHz-928MHz being used on the mesh layer of Global Smart metering infrastructure  uses the 217Hz demodulated pulsed frequency to to carry its signal 24 hours a day non stop.  This is why it is heard during a power outage as well.

If you are a victim of this noise please contact us by emailing the globalrfrdefenseteam@verizon.net.  The only way we will be able to get attention on this issue, is by proving the pollution is wide-spread.   We are looking for victims to post their location and experience of hearing this noise and include when you started hearing it.  Please leave your testimonials on the Smart Meter testimonial page.  We are also interested in collecting data in your area.   PLEASE, we are only interested personal experiences and nothing that predated Wireless high-speed broadband and Wi-Fi roll-out, Power-line 2 way communication and the wireless digital meter put on our home in September of 2006, without our knowledge or consent.  Our complaints predated our knowledge or awareness of what the smart grid is about.  We have documented complaints to the State and utilities that prove our symptoms we experienced was not pointing to the smart meters at the time.  We knew it was electromagnetic in nature because of the audible harmonics. Our power quality testing pointed to the utility side.  The report prompted The state to open another investigation,  not to our surprise, was all smoke and mirrors.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic_weapon

Noise-induced neurologic disturbances in humans exposed to continuous low frequency tones for durations longer than 15 minutes has involved in some cases the development of immediate and long-term problems affecting brain tissue. The symptoms resembled those of individuals who had suffered minor head injuries. One theory for a causal mechanism is that the prolonged sound exposure resulted in enough mechanical strain to brain tissue to induce an encephalopathy.[14]

Hi yes of course please do post blog and please do invite me to the group, pass on my email to the other person from wales will be interesting to find out where they live in respect to myself. let me have the links to the discussion group. I have more to say on the subject. Just to let you know i have a good understanding on the subject of high pitched frequencies as i am an electrical engineer by trade, i am in my early 40s and thought it might be my own hearing first until i noticed that i did not have the problem when i was away from home. Thanks please keep in touch.
I was glad to find other people are having the same problem as me. For the last 8-10 months i have heard a high frequency noise and it makes my inner ear rumble when it is quiet. I know for sure it is coming from my neighbor hood, as i work away from time to time and when i stay away i have no problems at all. When i am home how ever i almost immediately begin to hear the noise. It is a loud ringing just audible to me, my partner has only occasionally heard it. YES we have not so long ago had high speed broad band run out in our area i think your right it coincides with that. How can i find out if it is that causing the problem. I live in the uk in flintshire north wales. Thanks Graham B

    Dear Sandaura,

Thank you for providing this website and showing how widespread this serious problem is becoming.

The descriptions of this noise fully match what we have been experiencing for nearly 3 years. It is a wholly unnatural, unhealthy, oscillating, all-encompassing, rhythmic deep pulsing noise, often accompanied by a higher pitched hum.

We live in what was a very quiet, rural area, with no gas network, & mostly septic tank drainage. There are two transmitting masts about a mile away (digital TV & radio) one to north, one to south. There was no noise for the first 10 years we lived here. When the noise started it coincided with a new factory opening up, which was acoustically proven to be causing low frequency tones. But we have been hearing the low frequency noise in other localities, and high speed broad band was brought to our area at the same time as the new factory opened. Also our acoustic results show tones in 250 Hz band width & 16 Hz band width, which you have also found in
your recordings. Would you be able to provide more detail of your 1/3 octave graph/tabular results, so we can compare our two sets of data?

Can you explain a bit more about how an acoustic engineer could find the noise sources you describe, to match them with the house tones? Where is the specific source of this type of noise? Is it on the electricity transformer, or on the transmission masts? Any general guidance you could provide would be very welcome.

Thank you for being positive about us all working together to solve this problem. We know how difficult it is to live with this noise, and fight it at the same time, when you feel so tired, depressed and frustrated with the authorities.

    Very best wishes

    Bob

I have been plaque with this 2 years. I know what tinnitus is and I have excepted it since age 17, I am 51. to date This hum I think creates a form of insanity. Depretion,no sleep, sense of anger I could go on. I got my father in law to hear the sound he thinks, construction work to blame. I’ve been in construction for over 30 years . he’s of the mark. Sitting here righting you 12:30 in the morning, is no coincidence. Decided to look on the net and Walla. Here I am not alone.

i think this is happening to me too?

I have had this type of thing in my home now since i moved in to this home, interesting? what do you suggest i do know about it, my wife can not hear it, and its been 3 years now, i don’t always hear it but once i do then it takes a while for me not to hear it any longer like leaving the home forgetting about it or like some one else said putting other noises in place of it.

so what and how do i fix this or eliminate it?

I live in central Wisconsin and have been hearing this low hum for at least the last year or two. It seems to be louder in my house. My husband does not hear it. I have ruled out appliances, and do not hear it in other places.

I think I’ll begin to ask neighbors if they hear it.

If you can point me to more information or resources I can contact I would appreciate it.

Glad to find more information about this. It is not just me.

    • Michael, I have been plagued by a hum which is not constant but can vary from subtle to utmost torture. It started when wind turbines got installed down the horizon.

It is louder indoors than outdoors and is present only in the region I live in close to Canberra.

I live in Australia and in an area where there is little industry or antennas. I have heard a similar hum in another area of Australia, Western Victoria, where again the broader area is full of wind turbines.

    Hello,

Thanks for this blog. We live in Midtown Memphis, in a house we bought 4.5 years ago, and this pulsing, oscillating bed of noise so intense that it is utterly impossible for me to rest well at night. The best I can do to mitigate it is to create some sort of stochastic resonance effect with other noise makers in the house, but because the offending noise is such a low frequency there’s no hope of masking it, because the sound is omni-directional, and anything touching the floor has these continuous pulses radiating through it. It feels as if it’s directly beneath our house.

I’m particularly concerned for my wife and child. As for me, I am a sensitive person and it feels rather violent to me, and leaves me queasy much of the time, at night. The extremely short, intermittent gaps in the pulses make the presence of the noise more obvious and it’s a feat of concentration for me to distract myself by reading or working in my own house. It’s infuriating.

Please forward a short list of every known person, agency, and org to protest this abuse.

    Thanks,

    John O.

  8. I am not alone! I live in a outer-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. We have lived in our house for around four years – and last April (strangely coinciding with the roll-out of smart meters in our area) a mysterious and low freqency resonant pulse started to keep me awake at night. Ambient noise or ‘sleep’ CDs aren’t helping – and I hate going to bed at night knowing I’m listen to the pulsing sound. I am considering moving but am concerned that I could be going to a house with exactly the same problem as this one. So many of the comments have resonance (pardon the pun) – others can’t really hear it, and I don’t enjoy coming home like I used to…

    • Welcome Andrew, Thank you for speaking out. Hundreds visit our blog a week and only a few speak out. I liken it to a ball of string that is slowly getting larger and larger. “YOU ARE NOT ALONE!” Anyone out there want to design a Tshirt we could sell on the blog that would contribute to a legal fund. We would like ideas and input from all the victims. I want to remind folks that we are not in any way incorporated or a non profit. My time is voluntary, somehow by design I have been put in this position. I am not complaining or tooting my horn here. I am a cockeyed optomist at heart and believe that this kind of atrocity cannot go unnoticed and ignored by authorities whos job is to protect its citizens. Clearly, we are being stonewalled. In the five years of investigating this noise I/we have spoken to hundreds of individuals, whether they be State/Gov employees who just care to collect a paycheck and avoid making waves or the so called experts. There is no Expert where this issue is concerned. We, the hearers are the closest thing to it. We hold the key to the information and truth. The sad thing is unless you hear the noise it is not recognized as a problem. We have the scientific evidence proving there is. The State of MA willfully ignored our evidence as well as avoided designing a thorough investigation as well ascompleting the test protocol they designed to include Pure Tone noise measurments as per MA Laws. Instead of coming back to our town and order the proper completion of the testing they did not finish December 9th of 2010; they made us wait 11 months thinking they would continue the investigation given the fact they found power quality issues, pure tones in their day testing and that as per the test outline (that took over 2 years to complete) they did not do any pure tone noise studies overnight. This kind of noise we hear is discrete. The optimal time to capture a good pure tone and to ensure the environment is quiet iS…….at night. These clowns who talked through both sides of their mouths had no intention of proving us right. They wasted 5 years of our lives expecting to wear us down so that we would give up.

We are still here and we are here to support those who feel they are alone, but it goes both ways. There are many who have said they want to help. The first thing is to file a formal complaint with your Regulatory agencies. Give your utilities a chance to tell you like they tell everyone. There is no problem, then file your complaint. We need a paper trail in every State. We have heard from people in practically every State! The Global Radio Frequency Defense Team is you, the hearers. So I want to clarify to those who write and beg us to do something. We have no power without you, the hearers and those who are sypathetic to the issues we are facing because they may feel the effects of the radiation, but don’t hear it.

There are many things you can do that don’t cost you anything or very little. You can write letters to the editor. You can send the link to the blog to media outlets, scholars, friends, family. You will be surprised how many people hear the noise who are not talking about it. There are always doors that open when you knock on one it may not have the answer you are seeking, but it may lead you to another door. We were absolutely alone and isolated 5 years ago. We never gave up. Today, we have a network across the globe. We are not guessing at what this could possibly be regarding the noise. We are not interested in those who seek out the alien theories or the hums of the past. The utilities are behind this. It is not coming from Haarp or Gwen. The noise turned on across the USA when they connected all the Broadband and wireless meters smart grid to THE GRID. The grid is the antenna for all this pollution coming into our homes.

When we have approached legal counsel or anyone who could offer expert help they fail to get it. The burden/responsibility is on every citizen. The absurdity of thinking an individual or small group of victims is going to fund the litigation for an environmental hazard the world has never seen the likes of? The anger this evokes in me because the authorities have failed to take care of us in this way. A civil action suit is inevitable because of the States and Government’s failure to protect it citizens.

We need your skill sets, donations, ideas, support to get this done. Please contact us via email; we always respond.

  9. I have suffered with this hum for at least two years now. It sounds like a large truck outside with the engine running. This keeps me up at night and I feel small vibrations on my bed. I live in Hillsboro, Mo. It a rural area, but growing. I have searched the entire house, but can not find the culprit. My family does not here the hum. An interesting thing coming home from work the other day that I noticed. When I crossed a small bridge that covered a creek, my head cleared for a second. So, I made mental note. Now every time I cross a river or creek, I have relief for a few seconds. Wierd.

  10. As of Dec 2011 I have been plagued with a hum issue. Others both living and visiting in my home claim the hum is always there and pulsing. Someone described it like a pump… however I can’t hear anything constant. I believe hear something similar through other electrical noise pollution in my home.

The part causing my recent unrest is something appears to resonate with the sound of the fridge in my home as well as my neighbors furnace exhaust. When either one of these are on it turns these clean quiet hums that have been there for years into strong wavey humming thrumming pulses that reach rooms they never have. As if the sound from these appliances are colliding and resonating with another frequency creating strong audible hum pulses(happens when only one of them is on too). Best way I can describe it is it creates a very low pitch sound of varying intensity, like a truck idling but lower. The pulsing is very uncomfortable and distracting in the late evening to early AM. To the point I’m having issues falling asleep.

Perhaps others are right and there is a new constant hum in my home I can’t hear that’s causing this recent annoyance and harmonics with other low noises. It’s louder in the early morning hours when trying to sleep.

I believe dirty electricity could play a roll. I have an APC UPS that I have disabled the alarm on. It never alarms when switching to battery during a power failure. However it would randomly panic squak/alarm especially late at night at breakfast time. I thought the unit was failing and replaced it with a new more powerful one. It too started behaving this way. Software logs indicate no switching to battery power and alarm function still disabled. It still squaks. “Kill-a-watt” Metre steady 115v when the alarm hits. Phase stays the same. There’s something in the lines that’s causing it to alarm and behave a way it shouldn’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if this dirty electricity plays a roll in my pulsing hum annoyances.

No new microwave towers installed in our area that I’m aware of. I’ve taken steps to disable wifi and radio devices in the home.

    • Ginoslice, your description of sources of low frequency interactions sounds the same with my experience.

The chief source of low frequency noise now appears to be wind turbines. It is not always obvious, but aeroplanes flying into the horizon but not yet close enough to normally be heard, the fridge, computer fan make the characteristic noise much worse.

Do you have large industrial wind turbines in your area? Don’t be surprised, but they are quite audible at very large distances when there are hundreds in the region.

      • No Wind turbines in or around our town. It is not the source of the problem that is torturing the majority of people, globally It is not what my blog has proven it to be nor dedicated to discussion about this subject. We recognize it is a contributing factor for EMF, infrasound and or pure tone noise pollution; Wind Turbines have not saturated the Globe as the Smart Grid Network has and is the most common denominator for the consistancy of the evidence that has repeated pointed to the wireless mesh layer of the smart grid network.

      • No low humming noise but a high pitch noise due to Verizon equipment on the poles. It’s everywhere in RI now because Verizon’s hired 1,000’s of outside contractors to put it all up.

Now, we have to move. Noise pollution is everywhere. Unfortunately, technology is destroying our lives and the utilities have too much power for us to do anything about it.

In my State, they tell me I’m the only one complaining. CT has been hit hard. I bet the equipment was right across the bedroom of the house of that shooter in CT. It’s actually changing our DNA, I think, and making people go crazy.

Imagine, what is the quality of life if you can’t have quiet in your own home. I guess they call it progress. Most people are partly deft, so they don’t hear the problem but they are still getting the microwaves going through their bodies, I’m sure. My neighbor passed colon cancer at age 50. Now, after voltage equipment goes up across his bedroom, he has colon cancer! It’s dangerous to human health, cell towers, power towers, slicing DSL waves, etc.

      • Several people from Rhode Island have contacted us. File a formal complaint to document it for public record. You could also file a FOIA requesting noise complaints. They will not acknowledge the issue exists. http://www.nosmartmeters.org recently had a public hearing where hundreds showed up in Santa Rosa. Several testifying to the side effects of the exposure of the smart grid network. They also mentioned the low frequency noise that people started hearing when the smart grid network was turned on in their area. There is most definitely the low frequency noise present in Rhode Island as well. We have visiting there a few times in the past two years and heard what we have described. When all the traffic dies down and there is little activity; it is no longer masked.

  11. We re sarting a legal action gainst B C Hydro to stop smart meters. If any one can contribute it will be much appreciated. It is a start which could grow to towers.Google

  12. Happy New Year! We hope and pray that this year will bring the attention to this issue it needs to expose this serious environmental hazard unleashed on the population. Every day the victims who are suffering in various way scratch their heads wondering why the Government is allowing this go on. It is due in part to arrogance, greed and even stupidity. But, when all is said and done; ignorance is no excuse for criminal behavior. The effect is massive and the consequences long term, leaving our children, the eco system damaged leaving a trail of sickness and imbalance that will be difficult to reverse in the near future.

We have just returned from a road trip investigating the noise. There is much to report and share. I personally need to heal from the environments we visited where the radiation levels unbearable to function in. What I will report at this time is that there was not a location we visited where the noise was not present; including Green Bank, West Virginia. There is no wireless allowed in the town because of a National Radio Observatory that only receives radio signals and does not transmit. They do have DSL Broadband high speed internet in the town. It always comes back to DSL. There are other concerns to be investigated further, that being BPL and what exactly or how exactly the digital meters I saw in Green Bank are actually operating. A home we visited had one and it was explained by the resident that the utility comes every other month to read it with a hand held device. Is the hand held device wireless and considered acceptable because it is transmitting inches away form the collection device? These questions will have to be answered. More to come……..

Please take the time to read the posts below. This is not going to to be ignored. The Governments better address us and stop pretending this does not exist. A Class action suit is imminent.

    Hello,

your description of the hum is exactly what I have experienced for almost two years here in the Algarve.
We have a radio tower close by and about two years ago a wireless receiver was installed on the tower and more or less since then
I, over 50, have constantly heard this sound, somewhere around G, G sharp below middle C and almost constant depending on the weather perhaps.
Sometimes it is more like a Morse signal but with the same frequency. My husband, 65, can hear it too but it doesn’t bother him as much.
For a long time we searched for the source of the sound and until recently we even believed it might stem from the guy wires of the tower.

We’ve got high tension power lines in the region as well and still can’t be sure if it’s one or the other or something else all together.

My symptoms are trembling, tension, headache, pressure on top of head, difficulty concentrating and I have some sort of music or sound running
day and night to be able to work and sleep, of course. It’s a living nightmare.

    • Hello,

Live in Portugal and have been a HUM sufferer for about a couple of years and lately it has grown ever worse. Last night, once again kept awake by that pressure on the head, let alone the sound, I decided to try and do something about it. Still haven’t had time to test it, but here’s what:

As water apparently absorbs microwaves, I’ve placed a couple of big water containers in front of my bed. Something we already had in the house. Please try it out and tell if it works for you.
Have ordered a grounding wrist/ankle band to wear while I sleep or sit behind the computer (not wireless!)
Am looking into reflecting paint to paint house inside/outside with.
Looking for grounding mat to put on top of mattress.
Wearing rubber soles, every once in a while put my hands on a metal lamp next to me. Gives me some relief, at least it’s cooling but perhaps has some grounding effect as well.

      Good luck!

Low hum in AZ Save All

    Hi,

    Low hum in AZ

I hear the low hum here in AZ. I live in the Prescott area, which is in the middle of the state. My daughter has been hearing the hum at night and it is keeping her awake. She is in high school and is unable to do her work; she is doing distance learning from a private academy. She also complains of physical symptoms from the noise, a bit like what she felt from the smart meter. This summer, the end of May to be exact, smart meters came to our neighborhood. I didn’t know any better and let the thing be put on our house. After 2 months of my daughter suffering, our power company replaced the meter with a read-once-a-month digital meter. My daughter got better, but she is not the same. I wrote this to say that the hum started before the smart meter. When I listen outside the hum is hard to hear for me, but inside it is definately there.

I looked on the antenna website you had and we have 3 towers nearby, 1 within a mile. I have noticed more microwave “boxes” have been put on the towers. We now have 51 antennas within 4 miles, 1 is 1/4 mile away, and one .5 miles away, not to mention the smart meter collector boxes that have popped up everywhere. Ever since the smart meters have come to our neighborhood I have a mild case of tinnitis so the low hum does not bother me as much, either that or I am getting old!

Your group is informative and interesting. My daughter gets very angry at me at night because I don’t go out and find the culprit and call the police. I wouldn’t know where to start, and after having chemical sensitivities, I know people just dismiss me as a nut-case so I just don’t bother. Plus, once outside, I can’t tell the direction of the noise, which seems much quieter outside than inside.

I saw a you tube video of Unsolved Mysteries and one man said there is a support group, which seems to be what you are doing. Is there an official group? I just want my daughter to know she is not alone in this nightmare.

Thank you for the information on your WordPress blog.

    Hi Sandaura,

I still hear it. I can only hear it when I’m inside the house (I had always assumed it was a transformer or something like that outside and that it was throughout the whole neighborhood). I have also noticed it at a few other places (the Emergency Vet Clinic in Naugatuck, CT and at my fiance’s house in Southington, CT).

  21. I’ve been hearing the Noise in my Austin home for at least the past year. I went to my doctor worried it was some sort of damage to my ears from years of playing in bands, but he informed me that my hearing was perfectly normal for someone my age. We did a few other tests related to my cardiovascular system, even a CT scat, to make sure it wasn’t a tumor or anything evil in my noggin.
Then I started doing some research online, and lo and behold, here I am.
First of all, glad to know I’m not crazy. My wife still doesn’t necessarily believe me, although I’m convinced my occasional insomnia and our dog’s behavior, which could be described as “about to snap at any moment” (she is seriously the most nervous dog I have ever met), is a result of this constant barrage. As a matter of fact I can hear it now. I can actually FEEL it pulsating against my tympanic membrane. I’m even mildly nauseated. It’s unnerving.
It HAS to be related to the massive growth of wireless communication around here. I don’t notice it when I go visit my parents in Arkansas. I don’t notice it when I get away from civilization here in Austin. But I hear it EVERYWHERE around these parts. Work. Restaurants. Friends’ houses. Everywhere.
    I wish I knew what to do…

    • The only way I get comfort from the microwave noise is to have background noise. If you are in a quite area it can drive you nuts.I hear it nera Vancover BC and I find it comes from the direction of Vancouver. We are living in a microwave oven!!

  24. I too have house humming. I live in rural Nova Scotia in a new house. I believe my situation may be sort of a “test case”. I have used the process of deduction to determine that the humming is most likely caused by a recently erected wireless tower for local Internet users. Here is the case history that brings me to this conclusion:
    1. In 2001, bought the property (6 acres, heavily wooded, on a channel close to the Atlantic). No humming.
    2. Started removing trees and building a road (driveway; about 150 metres long from the highway.) No humming in 2002 and 2003.
    3. Started construction of the foundation and concrete slab. No basement. I have radiant floor heating from solar. No humming in 2004.
    4. Started construction of frame and roof and had wiring done. No humming in 2005 and 2006. Wiring must be excluded as cause; also a transformer on hydro pole 90 ft. from house produced no humming. Main power line is underground about 5 ft. from bedroom side. But no humming when I slept in the unfinished house those summers. In fact it was eerily quiet at night. Like sleeping in a tomb.
    5. Did not come to Canada in 2008 (I worked in South Korea for many years then retired in early 2011).
    6. Worked on house in summer of 2009. Bought a refrigerator; slept in house on borrowed bed. Water heating was operating. Solar panels were installed on roof. No other appliances. No humming.
    7. Did not come to Canada in 2010.
    8. Moved to house on April 6, 2011. Had Internet antenna installed on roof but have cable; I learned some years before of the hazards of wireless technology. That is why I have no cell phone or a cordless phone. I had a landline phone installed. I have few electrical appliances. No humming was heard for April and May as I can best recall. A wireless tower was installed on a slight rise about ¾ mile as the crow flies from the house. That was around June or July. It was around that time that I started hearing this humming which seems to have two tones. It is not piercing. If I walk toward the road (closer to the tower) it is louder and more of a mechanical sounding rumble, almost as if a large ship was some distance away and I hear the engines. From about July to now I would wander around at night trying to determine the direction and source. It was almost impossible. It seemed to come from the upper atmosphere sometimes. A few nights I stared up at the endless display of the cosmos and wondered, could it be…..? Na-a-ah.
    9. What is different this year as compared to previous years? I have a landline phone (I think that can be safely eliminated), I have an Internet antenna with a cable running down the side of the house into my bedroom to service the computer. There is a Wi-Fi tower nearby. Also, there are some giant wind turbines across the channel, maybe about 15 miles away. At one time I considered them as a source. I am not sure about that. Many trees were removed on the water side destroying a natural sound barrier. The wind turbines are on that side. The Internet tower is not. One of these must be the cause: phone line (underground for landline phone); roof installed Internet antenna with cable running down to bedroom on exterior; wind turbines; WiFi tower about ¾ mile away; or combination of these or other elements. The sound is heard outside far from the house so that excludes the roof antenna and phone line. The only external noise sources could be the wind turbines (very far away and not running consistently) and the WiFi tower. The tower does face the solar panels, more or less, so perhaps the panels pick up some of this frequency???
    10. Sunday, Nov. 27 was a very calm day. I walked down my long driveway and heard the humming all along the way. At the highway, it was louder as mentioned above. I walked back and went further into a vacant adjoining property with no house constructed yet. It has no power poles or lines nearby. It was a long distance from my house, perhaps 80 metres or more. I heard the humming. I conclude that it is likely the Internet wireless tower. The only other possibility is the operation of the wind turbines, but the humming is almost constant. I don’t think the turbines would be running constantly.
    11. We have to exclude:
House wiring (I have turned off the main breaker and the humming still occurs)
    Transformer on nearest hydro pole
    Underground power line
Solar panels by themselves; the panels do face quite directly in direction of the Internet tower
Appliances (I turn off breaker switches for fridge and other things and zone at night). No humming from solar panels in 2009.
I have no wireless technology; I do not have a wireless Smart meter.
Neighbors are quite a distance away. Heavily wooded area. No factories nearby.

I live in a pristine area. No one lived on my property before. There are no gas lines or water lines as I have a well.

This conclusion is only based on deduction, not science. I could be wrong. Maybe a bizarre combination of elements is creating this hum.

My idyllic setting and long-time planned and constructed dream home has been seriously impaired by this nuisance, whatever is the cause. I don’t know if there is any place to go as this kind of technology will probably expand across our nations.

Not only does this affect our health, but it rather shatters one’s spirits. I hope something will be done, but I don’t see governments or telecommunication companies (both the source of the problems) as being the providers of solutions. What the past few decades have shown us is that neither of these entities has shown any integrity, empathy, or concern for the general welfare of ordinary humanity.

Suffering along with the rest of you. I deeply empathize.
    Richard Stevens
    West Arichat, Nova Scotia, Canada

    • Hi Richard,

You have a similar situation/environment such as ours. We were able to base our conclusions on what changed in our environment at the time we started hearing the noise; that being DSL/wi-fi turned. What you have contributed and may be an important defining factor is that there is no smart meter roll out yet, in your area. So as we suspected a base station repeater which is a microwave emitter FB class is what we should be focusing on. All the towers and antennas can be eliminated that are not microwave emmitters associated with telecommunication used by our utility companies. This is the common thread we all share across the board. Thanks for your detailed cronology. It is a constant signal which is what the repeaters do in communicating to all the mobile devices. http://www.antennasearch.com will locate the nearest emmitters less than 4 miles from your home. You type in your address, it processes and gives you the towers results and antenna results. Click on antennas find your utility companies emmitters. It will most likely be FB, FB2, FB2C types, This is a base station with microwave repeaters putting out this signal. This is why we were able to record the noise during a power outage. They run on back up batteries during outages. So they NEVER turn off! Our ears and my forensic recordings has confirmed this to be true.

I live in remote Nova Scotia near the sea in a new house. I built it over a period of about 7 years and moved in this past April. I had never heard any humming before this summer. What is different this year? I had installed an Internet antenna on the roof and about a month later that Internet company installed a tower for other customers’ Internet usage about a mile away on a slight hill. My Internet connection is a cable, not wireless as I know the negative effects caused by wireless technology and that is why I have no cell phone. It was around then that I started hearing this annoying humming, but I was usually working outside and didn’t pay it too much mind. Now that it is winter, I am inside most of the time and it drives me nuts. I suspected it was something mechanical or electrical/electronic at first but then thought it was probably connected to that tower. I also thought it might be caused the by the giant wind turbines across the channel about 15 miles away, but that was a shot in the dark theory.

I haven’t heard any other neighbors complaining about the humming, but I only know a few people. My house is quite isolated and there are no factories nearby.

That tower does not service my Internet connection, but if I were to have my antenna removed, would it help in any way? My guess is it wouldn’t. I also have six solar panels on the roof and thought they might be picking up some resonance as well,, but I don’t knowfor sure. It definitely seems to get worse at night, but I hear it during the daytime as well.

It sounds like there is no remedial measures a person can take like some sort of resonance absorber or something. Can something be installed on or near the neutral grid wire to reduce or stop this resonance?

I think I will start to badger some of our politicians here.

I have felt helpless and don’t know if anything can be done as the telecommunications industry is so powerful.

    Thank you for your website,

    Best regards,
    Richard

  27. A doctor just told me I have blood vessels too close to my eardrum, so I am hearing the sound of blood rushing by, but the sound isn’t really coordinated with my heartbeat. It sounds more like a machine then that. I majored in sound engineering so I would know the difference between the two. It’s more of a steady modulating sinewave, then the harder attack of a heartbeat.

  28. I have been blessed / cursed with this ability to hear resonances both high and low and it’s getting annoying. My friends don’t hear it, and think I’m a kook. They say oh it’s probably the compressor on the fridge, or tinnitus, but I hear it all the time lately. When I was young I heard a high pitch ringing like after you listen to loud music, but close to four years ago I started hearing a lower resonating hum like a motor running outside and it seems to be getting more noticeable and irritating. In town I don’t hear it as much because of the other sounds but in the countryside it is very apparent because there is no other noise where my dad lives and he is surrounded by red flashing radio towers in all directions, many newly erected on farmers land, that they get a healthy sum of money for. There’s also a high pitch ringing on some sliding door sensors that drive me absolutely nuts. I don’t know why certain people hear it, maybe fair skinned people?? I’ve always been prone to skin irritations, and fair skinned ear drums might be more susceptible to different resonances inside or outside the usual 20hz / 20khz range. Ive also noticed the sound is more apparent in perfectly square shaped rooms facing a certain direction, like it is amplifying the sound by it’s position. I’m glad I’m not the only one hearing this crap.

    • Welcome Jesse, You are not a kook. We appreciate you sharing. You are a victim as are the non hearers of thismicrowave noise/radiation pollution, which is leaking into our air and traveling into our homes and workplaces. You can easily prove your friends wrong by turning your power off in your home. Try it. These are thing everyone should do to eliminate these sources and Power outages will confirm and eliminate any doubt. Keep us posted with any updates.

I hear a low frequency hum in FL Save All

I just moved down to FL to be closer to my family and I seem to be the only one who can hear a low frequency hum that is driving me up the wall. At nights it’s hard to get to sleep and because of bladder issues, I have to get up several times a night to use the rest room and then, it’s hard to get back to sleep most of the time. It’s very frustraiting. This is the first time that I have sought out answers on the web. I never noticed it before while living in MD, but growing up, I had a train track in my back yard. Sometime in the 80’s, they added the DC metro line and I can’t say that I ever heard it there or in San Diego while I was living there. Now, in Inverness, FL, it’s driving me crazy. It seems like it’s a train way off in the distance, but then, it never comes and never goes away. At least growing up, trains would come and go! Where are you and what is happening to you?

    • The only thing I find in order to put up with the noise is to keep another noise like a fan or radio on .I am in BC Canada and I hear and fell it here.It can drive one up the wall.I find it is defiantly Micro wave in our atmosphere.

      • Hi Robert, Yes welcome to the elite “FAN CLUB”, in which we have not chosen freely to join. It is a club consisting of victims who are assaulted by illegal, bio active deadly frequencies leaking into our environment. Our sensitivity is really a sixth sense, capable of hearing the pollution in our environments. If we were druggies or alcholics and wanted to heal ourselves, we would have a choice to do so. In this situation we have no choices to heal, to remove ourselves from harms way. We do not have any choice or method of relief. The noise is a constant reminder of the prison our governments have put us in for life with no chance of parole, unless we choose to fight for our human rights our kids will have no future . This is truly a dire situation we face. There is nothing nice or kind about what this technology is wreaking on the health of all living things on our planet. Shame on our President and all the Corporate criminally insane who are profiting from this GLOBAL HUMAN GENOCIDE.

  30. Hi Sandaura

I don’t know how far reaching you are looking at these noises from however I live in a small town called Newlands Arm, 15 minutes drive from Bairnsdale, Victoria, Australia. I have been hearing/feeling this noise for well over 3 months now. It actually started over 12 months ago, was infrequent. I am now hearing it every night and it causes me headaches, lack of sleep, anxiety, feel my heart rate rising.

My initial thought was that it was someone’s reverse cycle air conditioner but I no longer think this as I hear it all the time. So it is leaving me rather perplexed about what it may be. My husband and daughter cannot hear it but its certainly driving me nuts – to the point that I want to move (which I really don’t, we live in a very picturesque place).

    Kind regards

    Hi,

I have been hearing/feeling this hum on and off now for a few years. It had stopped, but started up again about a week or so ago. Nobody else hears it. I live in Watertown, CT.

    Hello,

Yes I have been a victim of this hum since late January.

I am not sure if somehow I have been “made to hear” it or what.

I have just started reading your blog and have been looking for others in MA for a while.

Isn’t this noise an echo of sorts of the H Freq weather manipulation process?

I live in Maynard and hear this hum a lot perhaps as there is an AF tower near by and other towers near by.

Between Lexington and my area it seems loud and outside of 128 it fades a bit.

Haven’t studied it inside of Rte 128.

Read an interesting article a while ago by a scientist who hypothesized military communications or the above.

Please let me know how I can help resolve this problem.

I’m hearing a deep throbbing hum like a distant diesel engine or, sometimes, I think it sounds like someone’s washing machine is on a spin cycle in the distance. My children hear it, though they aren’t bugged by it like I am — they say it’s more like a vibration in their ears. I’ve had a couple of friends who have heard it, too, and they described it like the distant engine.

The noise is 24/7, though there are peaks and troughs in intensity.

I started noticing it in July 2010. It could have been happening before then, but two things changed: first, I graduated my last child from sleeping with me, so things were quieter at night when I first noticed it; second, it was the height of summer and it dawned on me that I couldn’t be hearing anything to do with the boiler or radiators, because everything like that was off.

Later, I started turning off all the mains and could still hear it. Plus, I hear it outside, all around the village, in a nearby village 4 miles away, and in a town 7 miles away. I do not hear it in Texas or when I visited Scotland last year.

I’m sure I don’t have smart meters because I’m always having to read the meter for gas and electric. Water I’m not sure about. I’ll call my water company and ask — that could be a possibility. Judging from news on the internet, we’ve not actually got into Smart Metering much in the UK yet. Certainly not as of July last year, when I started hearing it.

I’ve posted a message on the local website about whether or not anyone has smart meters in town.

Of course, like I said, I’m hearing it further afield than my house only. I also have to agree with all those people who suggest it’s more intense in the early hours of the morning, by and large.

    More later.

  34. 10 6 2011 I cannot stress enough, apparently, the importance of other victims who hear the noise and who find our blog to comment in detail what is happening to them in your environments, so that other victims are validated and we can network so that we can confirm how ubiquituous this poison is that they have leaked into our lives. These frequencies that they are using are leaking everywhere that is why we hear them. PLEASE! while we appreciate the emails the defense team, we need this information to be made public.

There are so many victims isolated by this experience and don’t know where to turn for help. Show your appreciation by telling your story on this site. If you want to email your story directly so that we can post it that is fine, if you don’t want to post your name, at least post your location, so we can continue to follow up with our investigation.

We do have the power to get this noise turned off if we continue to grow our network.

  35. 9 19 2011 PLEASE NOTE it is valuable to all concerned that you post your story or experience of this microwave noise pollution. It is definitely caused by microwave wireless signals causing RFI in our homes, schools, workplaces, playgrounds, public arenas, churches. It is everywhere these signals are tranmsitting. We receive numerous emails from victims who are hearing this specific noise, even in Urban areas, where the ambient background noise levels are higher than rural or more isolated environments; it is being heard. This electromagnetic pollution is
unmistakeable and unavoidable once it gets into your head and body.
Please, we must all do our part in sharing our experiences, so that the public is aware of the enormity and impact it is having across the country, as well as around the globe.

We are concerned citizens just like you. We are in the same boat without a paddle, unless we all take responsibility and do our part. We are not an organization, do not get paid for our time. This is not a hobby, this is not set up for entertainment purposes.

When we receive emails and calls thanking us for the information and all the research we have provided. Many are relieved that they are finding some answers alleviating to some extent the stress and the feeling of isolation. Pay it forward and do your part. There is a process of first identifying the problem and source, then following a complaint process creating a paper trail. We can assist with this process. We can also assist if you want to gather evidence and follow the same path as we have to validate the problem. This points the finger to the utilities. There is no mystery when it comes to this noise. We have the evidence to prove it is coming from the utilities. The only way to get action is to follow these steps. Otherwise, you will have to live with this the rest of your life. How will that work for you? People are losing sleep, losing their health, relationships, what is left? Not much.

  37. NOISE EXPERT SAYS…….

Biomedical engineer Mariana Alves-Pereira says exposure to cell phone towers can lead to vibroacoustic disease. “From what I understand, some of the complaints are similar in what is seen in vibroacoustic disease patients, which are people who develop a disease caused by low frequency noise exposure,” she said. Symptoms can include mood swings, indigestion, ulcers and joint pain.

  38. OnLine First: The Copyrighted AMA article Maternal Exposure to Magnetic Fields During Pregnancy in Relation to the Risk of Asthma in Offspring — downloaded from Archives of Pediatric Adolescent Medicine, published on-line, August 1, 2011 by Authors: De Kun Li, MD, PhD; Hong Chen, MPH; Roxana Odouli, MSPH, Kaiser Permanente, Northern California.

MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Asthma was clinically diagnosed among 626 children who were followed up for as long as 13 years. All participants carried a meter to measure their MF levels during pregnancy.

RESULTS FROM THE ABSTRACT: “After Adjustment for potential confounders, a statistically significant linear dose response relationship was observed between increasing maternal median daily MF exposure level in pregnancy and an increased risk of asthma in offspring: every 1 – mG [milliGauss] increase of maternal MF level during pregnancy was associated with 15% increased rate of asthma in offspring (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR], 1.15; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.04-1.27). Using the categorical MF level ≤ 0.3 mG during pregnancy, children whose mothers had a high MF level (> 2.0 mG) had more than a 3.5-fold increased rate of asthma [aHR, 3.52, 95% CI, 1.68-7.35), while children whose mothers had a medium MF level (>0.3-2.0 mG) had a 74% increased rate of asthma, (aHR, 1.74; 95% CI, 0.93-3.25). A statistically significant synergistic interaction was observed between the MF effect and a maternal history of asthma and birth order (first born).

CONCLUSION: Our findings provide new epidemiological evidence that high maternal MF levels in pregnancy may increase the risk of asthama in offspring. “

    1. I am a from the University of Toronto Medical School with post-graduate
training at McGill University and the University of California.
    2. I am a specialist in diagnostic imaging, whose training and work involves
developing and utilizing an understanding of the effects of energy deposition, including
sound on human tissues. I am a former Associate Director of MRI at a major Harvard
Hospital, a former faculty member (junior) at Harvard University, and a published author.
    3. I developed an interest in the health effects of wind turbine projects after
becoming aware of complaints related to an industrial wind turbine installation in Mars
Hill, Maine, and subsequently investigating the widespread and serious health effects
suffered by most of the residents of Mars Hill, who live in proximity (within 1100
meters) to a linear arrangement of twenty-eight 1.5 MW wind turbines.
    4. I have recently conducted a study of the health effects of persons living
within 1100 meters of the Mars Hill Wind Turbine Project in Aroostook County, Maine,
which consists of 28 wind turbines. Each turbine is 389 feet tall, from base to blade tip.
This study is important because it represents the first controlled study of adverse health
effects attributed to industrial wind turbines.
    5. As part of the study, 22 of an estimated 30 adults living in the affected
area were interviewed. Subjects interviewed included 10 females, ranging in age from 18
    – 73, and 12 males, ranging in age from 43 – 79. The CONTROL group comprised of 27
individuals, 12 female and 13 male, age ranges and averages comparable to the subjects.
The control group lived on average 5000 meters away from the turbine installation. A
true copy of the map of the study area is attached to this, my Affidavit, and marked as
    Exhibit “B”.
    6. Of the 22 subjects I interviewed, 18 of them (82%), reported a new onset
or worsened sleep disturbance since the Mars Hill Wind Turbine Project went online in
December 2006. 17 of those interviewed (77%) reported their sleep disturbance
problems included waking up in the middle of the night, while 10 (45%) reported
difficulty falling asleep. There were 5 new prescription medications for chronic sleep
disturbance in this group of 22 subjects. In the CONTROL group, only 1 individual (4%)
reported a new or worsened sleep disturbance in the same time period since the turbines
went online. There were no new prescriptions for sleep disturbance in the CONTROL
    group.
    7. Of the 22 subjects I interviewed, 9 of them (41%) reported increased
headaches since the Mars Hills Wind Turbine Project went online in December 2006,
with 7 of them (32%) reporting a new onset of headaches and 2 of them (9%) reporting
increased migraine frequency. There were three new prescriptions for headache
mediation in this group. The CONTROL group had 1 individual (4%) with a worsened
headache problem in this same time period.
    8. Of the 22 subjects I interviewed, 3 of them (14%) reported new or
worsened problems with dizziness since the Mars Hills Wind Turbine Project went online
in December 2006, 3 (14%) reported tinnitus, 3 (14%) reported a new problem with ear
pulsation sensations, and 1 (5%) reported periodic ear pain. There were no auditory or
vestibular complaints in the CONTROL group.
    9. Of the 22 subjects I interviewed, 7 of them (32%) reported they have been
troubled by shadow flicker since the Mars Hills Wind Turbine Project went online in
    December 2006, with 2 (9%)of those reporting nausea, and 4 (1 8%) reported dizziness. 1
(5%) reported triggering migraine headaches by shadow flicker, and 2 (9%) reported a
feeling of unease created by shadow flicker. There were no complaints related to shadow
    flicker in the CONTROL group.
    10. Of the 22 subjects I interviewed, 8 of them (36%) reported they have
experienced unintentional weight changes since the Mars Hills Wind Turbine Project
went online in December 2006, with 6 of those reporting weight gain and 1 reporting
weight loss. In the CONTROL group, there was 1 person (4%) who experienced
unintentional weight change in that period.
    11. Many of those affected by the Mars Hill Wind Turbine Project also
reported new or worsened psychiatric symptomatology, including feelings of “stress” (13
people or 59%), “anger” (17 people or 77%), “anxiety” (7 people or 32%), “irritability”
(6 people or 27%), “hopelessness” (12 people or 55%), and “depression” (10 people or
45%). Of those 8 persons who reported experiencing feelings of “depression,” all of
those reported that such feelings are new since the Mars Hills Wind Turbine project went
online in December 2006. There were 4 new or increased prescriptions for psychiatric
medication in the subject group. The control group reported no new or increased
    psychiatric complaints.
    12. In reporting feelings of “anger,” a 67 year old woman described it as,
“Absolute rage – you feel you want to kill someone, and don’t know who to kill.” A 65
year old man described it as, “So angry I could kill.” And a 65 year old woman described
it as, “Makes my blood boil.”
In reporting feelings of “hopelessness,” several of those affected by the
Wind Turbine Project described those feelings, making the following
    “Nobody will help us.”
“No options – can’t leave, and can’t live here.”
“This is an awful thing to have happen to you.”
“People don’t believe us – (our complaints) fall on deaf ears.”
“No one cares. No one listens.”
    “They just tread on us.”
“It’s very hard watching my child suffer.”
Those I interviewed reported a total of 15 new and increased prescriptions
for various health ailments since the Mars Hills Wind Turbine Project went online in
December 2006. The CONTROL group reported 4 new or increased prescriptions in that
    time period.
    15. 21 out of the 22 people in the subject group (95%) reported that their
quality of life has been negatively affected by the Mars Hill Wind Turbine Project.
Comments made by those persons when reporting that their lives have been affected
    include the following:
    a) “Loss of joy in living . . . put a lot of life’s plans on hold.”
    b) “No desire to go outside.”
    c) “Feel trapped.”
    d) “Dreams have been dashed.”
    d) “Was our dream home . . . it’s all been stolen from us.”
    f) “We have no peace and quiet.”
    g) “My husband’s (who has advanced MS) only pleasure in life was to see
the wild animals. They are gone.”
    h) “No sleep.”
    i) “Sinking feeling every night when I (come home) and see them.”
    j) “I used to be able to hear it snow, before. Now, I do not look forward to
    going home.”
There were no perceptions of reduced quality of life in the CONTROL group.
    16. One hundred percent of the persons I interviewed reported they had
considered moving away. None of the CONTROL group admitted to considering
moving away during that time period.
    17. It is my professional opinion that there is a high probability of significant
adverse health effects for those whose residence is located within 1100 meters of a 1.5MW turbine installation based upon the experiences of the subject group of individuals
living in Mars Hill, Maine. It is my professional opinion, based on the basic medical
principle of having the exposure to a substance proven noxious at a given dose before
risking an additional exposure, that significant risk of adverse health effects are likely to
occur in a significant subset of people out to at least 2000 meters away from an industrial
wind turbine installation. These health concerns include:
    a) Sleep disturbances/sleep deprivation and the multiple illnesses that
cascade from chronic sleep disturbance. These include cardiovascular diseases
mediated by chronically increased levels of stress hormones, weight changed, and
metabolic disturbances including the continuum of impaired glucose tolerance up
    to diabetes.

  40. 8/01/11 The State of Massachusetts has dragged our issue on for nearly four years. It will be officially 4 years in November. We have spent literally hundreds of hours on the phone seeking help and advise, at least 10 reams of emails, the State at minimimum has had 48 meetings directly related to our complaints. The utilities have the privilege of not being transparent in their communications with the State. In other words we are not privey to the meetings, emails or phone conferences. We get criptic responses from the State. It is mind blowing the amount of time and effort we have had to invest and here we are 8 months after the half ass testing testing that was allowed to be performed here has still left us wondering if they the State agencies will force the utilities to fix the illegal pure tones.

We had 3 fans on last night because of the tempurature. This helps in masking the insidious pure tones. Of course, our home sounds like an airplane hanger, BUT, this noise is more tolerable than the health hazard pure tones. The stress is unbearable when the pure tones take over my body and hearing. The staccato rumbing and buzzing. The constant steady state tones can not be defended so the only escape is creating noise to mask it. This is no way to live, but we have been forced to and the State has ignored acting in a responsible and obvious manner that would expedite mitigation and alleviation of this non stop torture/assault upon us. We are robbed of the pleasure and peace of our property. This has fallen on deaf ears. Anyone acting on our behalf such as the state would never conduct themselves in this manner if this were the case. It is a sad day indeed, to be reminded repeatedly that we are alone. You will take note, not one engineer or scholar has posted on this site, not one has contacted us asking for more information. Wouldn’t this peak a scientists interest? Where are they? Where are the journalists who should be reporting on this issue? Where are the parents concerned for their childs future? Where are the environmentalists who are concerned for our wildlife impacted by these microwave signals in the air? Where are the Doctors who are seeing patients with electrohypersensitivity and stress? It is irresponsible and lazy for the general public not to embrace the fact that we are all in this together. There are several people visiting this site daily, who have used key words of low frequency hum in our home, I hear a constant low frequency hum. I encourage you to post your comments. There are many of you out there going through this nightmare. There is no one voice that will influence this HUGE issue. The reality that millions of people are walking around exposed to these hazardous pure tones unsuspect to the danger it poses is the biggest frustration in all this. It is like sheep being led to the slaughter.

  41. I visited Newport, Rhode Island last week on business. We stayed at an Inn in the heart of the city. It is a beautiful city, much to see and do, but unfortunately like most urban cities highly polluted with high levels of radiation. Being that there is a Naval Base this too adds to the levels. What was most disturbing was seeing all the wireless (death) meters. An information booth had 8 attached to it. I pity the poor unsuspecting employee passing out brochures!

When all the activity died down for the night the noise I hear in our home is not masked any longer. The noise clearly and aubibly penetrated our room in the early hours of the morning. Unmistakeably, the same noise we hear in our community as well as other locations we are familiar with that did not have this noise until the high speed internet was turned on.

  42. 7/9/2011 Can anyone who visits our blog view the statistics page?
Please let me know. If not, I would like to post the words and or terms folks are typing in the search engines to find the blog. It confirms the noise pollution is heard across the country. People are searching for answers and trying to seek help; just as we are. What we are doing here matters. Please circulate this blog because it is being noticed by individuals who can potentially be of help and influence. It is interesting we have not heard from any engineers yet! But, they are aware of us. An army core engineer sent this blog link to a person who called asking for help regarding this issue. He found it intriguing so on his own time and not company time researched it and as a result sent the person our blog! What does it mean? Sure like to pick this guys brain. So it you are peaking in on us, we would appreciate some comments on your end.

Here are some links to websites where the blog is getting further exposure: http://readyfortheshift.com/2011/07/05/massachusetts-a-constant-non-stop-low-frequency-hum-heard-in-my-home/

This issue transcends all political, religious, sexual, philosophical ideologies or beliefs. This is a common unifiying situation. So what ever the means or whereever we can acquire help, we must embrace it and be thankful for it.

Many people are contacting me directly through email and have chose not to comment at this time. We must respect that too.

  43. Hi, Sandura, The situation you and many of the commentors are in sounds miserable. I know what I’m about to suggest is not a permanent or ultimately desired solution, but for *relief* in the meanwhile, have you checked out electromagnetic “shielding” devices you can install in your home or wear? I’m especially referring to EarthCalm devices (www. earthcalm.com) that supposedly grounds you into Earth’s natural Schumann resonance, providing mitigating effect to man-made EMs. Anyway, there’s a lot of interesting info on the site, although I don’t know if the products would help in the specific cases shared here. This is a very serious issue, indeed. Thank you for all your work in bringing attention to it and bringing people together.

    • Hi,
I have not purchased this product, but know of a friend who has. This does not help eliminate or lessen the acoustic assault.

Abstract – The worldwide maintenance of the honeybee has major ecological, economic, and political implications. In the present study, electromagnetic waves originating from mobile phones were tested for potential effects on honeybee behavior. Mobile phone handsets were placed in the close vicinity of honeybees. The sound made by the bees was recorded and analyzed. The audiograms and spectrograms revealed that active mobile phone handsets have a dramatic impact on the behavior of the bees, namely by inducing the worker piping signal. In natural conditions, worker piping either announces the swarming process of the bee colony or is a signal of a disturbed bee colony.

  47. I have been hearing a very high frequency noise in my house and outside
around my property for two years.

A few months after I started hearing the noise I discovered that a
wireless internet service provider had put up a microwave transmitter
on a grain bin about ¾ mile southwest of my property at the same time
as the noise started. That company said they operate at 2.4 and 5.8
GHz at 1 watt. They don’t think anything they are doing would cause
noise so haven’t done anything to assist.

Here’s a summary of the situation:
On April 15, 2009, when I got home from work, as soon as I got out of
the car, I started hearing a loud high frequency noise. I hear the
noise in every room of the house and all around outside on over 5
acres. Other people can also hear the noise. Other people have
described the noise as high pitch buzzing, humming, screeching, static.
I also describe it as very high pitch screeching and reverberating as
if it is coming from a distorted loud speaker or microphone. A couple
of weeks after the noise started I started feeling pressure in my ears
as if there was air pressure change. Other people also experience
pressure in their ears while around my house and property.
Some people hear the noise and some people don’t. Some people feel the
    ear pressure and some don’t.

The noise and pressure have been constant the entire time. It has
stopped only a couple of times for about an hour or two at a time.

I live in a rural area in central Ohio. There aren’t any factories,
high tension power lines or major highways nearby.

I turned power off to house and we still hear the noise and feel the
ear pressure. The electric company said they checked the lines and
    can’t find anything wrong.

There aren’t any water or sewer lines in the area. We have well water
and septic tank. Heat is propane.

I am sure that the noise is not coming from my house or property.

No one can tell where the noise is coming from. Most people feel that
the sound is coming diagonally from northeast to southwest or vice
    versa.

The things I noticed that changed around that time period are:

    1) an electric horse fence was put up about 200’ across the street to
the northeast. They turned the fence off and I could still hear the
    noise.
    2) about ¾ mile to the southwest a wireless high speed internet company
started doing business in the area by putting up a transmitter on top
of a grain bin. They said it is an access point. They said nothing
they do would cause noise or pressure but wouldn’t check it out.
    3) Rickenbacker airport shifted the flight path to the north (which put
it more directly over my house instead of slightly to south of my
house) due to work on a runway. The airport authority said the work is
now done and nothing they did would cause that noise or high pressure.
    They won’t do any testing.
    4) A major gas pipeline was put in 2 miles directly south of my
property. They said their noise wouldn’t travel that far.

The only place I hear the noise and feel the pressure in my ears is in
that area which includes at least several hundred yards in all
    directions from my property.

Other people hear the noise and feel the pressure.

Some people hear it and some people don’t. Some people feel it and
some people don’t. The floors in the house are now vibrating.

I have lived at this property for 22 years. It was always quiet until
    this noise started.

I haven’t found anything that blocks the noise or pressure.

    • Welcome Rae, Thanks for this indepth testimonial. Much of what you describe is what victims experience when seeking assistance from utilities, regulatory agencies and professionals. What we need to keep in mind is that we are pioneering in an area that is in need of much study. The professionals need to listen to what we are going through. The ones that will help will be able to separate all the other anomolies that keep this topic in the realm of the unknown into the realm of the reality of Radio Frequency Pollution. This is where we need to keep the focus. Rae’s environment matches much of where I live as well as Whitehhorse. Even though this exists in the urban areas it is harder to pin point because of all the variables. Our common thread though in all of these environments is when the high speed internet and wireless communication, whether it be wi-fi, fixed wireless, broadband; it is microwave transmission that is the source. Mix this with the utility lines that are uninsulated we have a National Antenna radiating NOISE, as well as delivering dirty electricity in to our homes. This is acoustic noise we are hearing caused by microwaves in the air.

      • I have been hearing a hum in my house since about 2006. The noise sounds like a diesel engine or motor running. The sound vibrates the duct work in the house. I have had the electric company three times they said its not on their end. They shut off all electric to the house and still I hear it, I can hear it outside around my house. I live in a rural area in New Jersey, and there is no street noise or anything you would find in a city. I have well and septic, gas propane. Some people hear the hum some dont. I had an engineer come out this morning and he could not hear it, I heard it clearly. The sound resonates thru my whole house although i hear it on the north east end the loudest, i hear it the loudest at night and early morning. its driving me crazy, I cant sleep at night. No one I bring in knows what the sound could be, that is if they hear it.My partner hears it too.Ear plugs dont help, its like the sound resonates thru my body, no matter what. My town engineer is coming in a few days, is there anything I can tell him to clue him in?

      • Hi Deeb,

Your time frame is the same time we started hearing the noise in our town. When did your area turn on wi-fi and high speed internet and wireless meters. Have you checked to see if you have a wireless meter on your home? I just found out that the utility can retrofit the analogue meters to function as an amr meter. All of this infrastructure is reaking havoc with the power grid creating high emf, spiking of the cables into your home. This noise is in the air outside, but is also coming in through the neutral cables of the utility. What kind of engineer is this person? We have had very little success with Electrical engineers. We did have luck with a power quality expert. If you see my documents I have posted there is an example of the harmonic distortion (Wave form event) ie., noise we have in our home. We also had luck with audio analysis of recordings. You may not hear the discreet background noise very well playing it back becuase the noise is present in the room when you play it back and it is very discrete, but it is there! This is a microwave modulating pulse. If you engineer is not familiar with power quality or RF measurements, I doubt he will be of service to you. Be careful how much you invest; it can be costly with no results.

You can email me if you like.

    • Got something for allyou who hear the high pitched distracting RF sound from the transmitters. It’s a whole google search on “RF Hearing”. becuz if you hear it, you do indeed have something (an ability) called, RF Hearing. It has been studied and it is a result of the RF transmissions. by the way, I am experiencing this too, the high pitched terribly invasive sounds from all the towers in my neighborhood lately. filling the house, and this entire side of the city for the most part.

      Lots of results here…

      • Hi greenfaerie, Thanks for your input. Would you mind commenting in more detail the history of your experience hearing the noise? It is helpful to all of us. How long have you lived in your current home? When did you begin to hear the noise? What changed in your environment at the time you started hearing it? Can you still hear it during a major power outage? What do you have in your environment in the way of wireless transmission, including wireless utility meters (gas, water, electric)? Are you public or private water, gas, sewer lines? Have you reported the noise to your local utility and regulatory agencies? We should come up with a list of questions such as the above that all victims can answer. The more information, the better. I think we need to have a master plan strategy that everyone follows in their prospective areas, this will include registered letters of complaints and a history log to document the contacts and time line from date of complaints. This will start to connect the dots and evidenciary chain. I think if we start putting our ideas together, collectively, we will be more effective in moving forward as well as raising awareness publically.

I am offering my time if anyone wants to follow steps in recording this noise in your environment. I can walk through what is necessary to record for chain of custody. If you send me the sound card I will document your audio spectrum to a CD in data form.

Would like to hear feedback, please.

  48. A recommended book. It is technical, but it highlights why pure tones are a health hazard. The State of Massachusetts does not know what do about the noise pollution in our community, which are indeed ILLEGAL PURE TONES. We have been victimized by the State because they ignored the noise law, stating that a pure tone condition is illegal. They have forced us to live with this noise constantly blasting like a siren in our home 24/7. Understand that the steady state noise is a discrete background noise that with exposure and accumulation is perceived as a siren because of its steady constant state of broadcasting.

Nuclear Expert: Smart Meters 100x Radiation Exposure of a Cell Phone
    by J Hart
    Thursday Apr 21st, 2011 10:55 AM
Stop Smart Meters! caught up on Wednesday evening with Daniel Hirsch, a lecturer and expert in nuclear policy at UCSC who has been widely quoted in the media regarding recent events in Japan. Mr. Hirsch had just finished his talk at Stevenson College, UCSC about the crisis at Fukushima and what it means for the future of nuclear energy. Mr. Hirsch reviewed the report on smart meters and health requested by the state legislature and found some very disturbing anomalies.

It appears that many of the distortions that industry has used to deflect concern about such non-ionizing wireless radiation are the same techniques that have been used for many years to downplay ionizing nuclear radiation.

From Mr. Hirsch’s calculations, smart meters expose residents to about 100x the microwave radiation of a cell phone- precisely opposite what the industry is claiming.

  50. Here’s another article (April 9-2011) about the Windsor rumbling that is more to the point. There are similarities with the Florida occurence of March 18-2011: Vibrations heard or felt but no seismic activity recorded in Windsor.

    http://www.windsorstar.com/opinion/editorials/Theories+abound+over+vibrations/4587422/story.html

Again, quite a number of folks disturbed by this phenomenon in Windsor area.
